The Medis antiviral medical mask is the result of joint development by Hengbao Protection and U.S.-based GS. It uses a GS surfactant; when this active agent is combined with nonwoven fabric, it creates a physical positive charge on the surface of the fabric. Since viruses and bacteria both carry negative charges, when positive and negative charges come into contact, the surface membranes of these pathogens are disrupted by the bioelectrical charge, leading to “contact-induced death.”
