Guilin Hengbao Health Protection Co., Ltd. (referred to as “Hengbao Protection”) is a leading enterprise in China’s latex industry and a nationally recognized “Little Giant” enterprise specializing in niche, specialized, and innovative products. Founded in 2001, the company strategically merged with Zhonghong Medical (stock code: 300981) in 2023 and has become a member of Xiamen Strait Trade Holding Group, a Fortune Global 500 company. Located in Guilin Economic Development Zone, the company occupies an area of 85 mu and employs approximately 1,000 people. It integrates R&D, manufacturing, and sales, with its core business covering a multi-dimensional product portfolio for medical, public, and personal health applications. The company owns several well-known brands. Hengbao Protection aspires to become a global smart manufacturing hub for latex products—including both natural and synthetic latex—and is committed to providing high-quality protective solutions for global healthcare and public safety through continuous technological innovation.
Hengbao Protective has established 20 single-row production lines for medical surgical gloves, with an annual output of over 500 million pairs of high-quality medical surgical gloves. Its production capacity ranks first in China and among the top three worldwide, and it holds a significant global position in the production of gloves made from new materials such as synthetic latex. Additionally, Hengbao Protective has built 4 production lines for condoms, with an annual output of over 500 million high-quality condoms.
The R&D team at the Hengbao Protective Research Institute comprises PhDs, master’s degree holders, and seasoned industry experts. The team maintains close collaborations with numerous renowned universities and research institutions both domestically and internationally, boasting strong R&D capabilities. The institute holds over 60 patents, and several of its core technologies have reached internationally advanced levels. In the fields of graphene materials, polyurethane materials, and certain novel materials, the institute has taken the lead among its Chinese peers and is fully capable of surpassing the flexibility of natural latex. In particular, the third-generation flexible polyurethane is hailed as the next-generation synthetic latex.
Hengbao Protective strictly adheres to international quality management system standards and has obtained numerous certifications, including ISO systems (ISO13485, ISO9001, ISO14001, ISO45001), U.S. FDA, UK’s CHU, EU CE (MDR), PPE, Japan’s Ministry of Health, Labour and Welfare, and China’s Ministry of Commerce White List.
